Test Run Error:
QuickTest detects a run error and identifies it by a failed return value from a method. For example, QuickTest may not be able to identify a menu item specified in the method argument, due to the fact that the menu item is not available at a specific point during the run session.
QuickTest can detect this run error and activate a defined recovery scenario to continue the run session.
1. Navigate Tools à Recovery Scenario Manager,
Click on New Scenario button for generating the new recovery scenario.
1. Click the Next button on ‘Welcome to the Recovery Scenario Wizard’ window.
1. Select the Run Time Error and click on Next button in ‘Select Trigger Event’ window.
1. Select the Error in ‘Select Test Run Error Window and click on Next button.
1. You must define at least one recovery operation. To define a recovery operation and add it to the Recovery operations list, click Next Button to continue to the Recovery Operation Screen.
Define Operation Type on Recovery Operation Screen and click on Next Button.
1. Define Select keyboard or mouse operation on ‘Recovery Operation – Click button or Press Key’ window and click Next button.
Define the Test Run Options on ‘Post-Recovery Test Run Option’ window and click on Next button.
Provide Scenario Name and Description on ‘Name and Description’ Window and click on Next button.
Click on Finish Button on ‘Completing the Recovery Scenario Wizard’ window.
